Egeland's experience lies within field development planning including project execution and cost estimation, economics valuation including project assurance and decision gate reviews, new business development including asset and company acquisitions, establishment of commercial terms and conditions.

Egeland has more than 35 years of industry experience. Prior to joining APC in 2017 Egeland worked at A/S Norske Shell where he has had various technical and executive roles including the positions as Asset Lead, partner operated ventures (2008-15), Business Opportunity Manager (2003-08), Restructuring Manager (2001-02) and Head of Engineering & Projects (2001-02).
